MISSNG TILE WAS BORN OUT OF MIHIR GOSWAMI’S BEDROOM IN MUMBAI. WHILE ON A ONE-MONTH TRIP TO INDIA VISITING FAMILY, MIHIR NOTICED THE STATE OF STREETWEAR FASHION BRANDS - HOW LIMITED THEY WERE, HOW EVERYONE SEEMED TO COPY TRENDS, AND HOW PERSONAL STYLE WAS OFTEN OVERLOOKED. STRUGGLING TO FIND PIECES THAT RESONATED WITH HIS EVOLVING SENSE OF STYLE, HE MADE A BOLD DECISION TO CANCEL HIS FLIGHT BACK TO CANADA. INSTEAD, HE BEGAN WORKING ON CLOTHES FOR HIMSELF AND OTHERS WHO SHARED A SIMILAR VISION OF DYNAMIC AND AESTHETIC FASHION.
THE NAME "MISSNG TILE" IS INSPIRED BY THE MISSING TILE SYNDROME, A CONCEPT THAT REMINDS US HOW WE OFTEN FIXATE ON WHAT’S ABSENT RATHER THAN APPRECIATING WHAT’S PRESENT. FOR MIHIR, THIS WAS HIS VERSION OF FIXATING ON A BRAND THAT DIDN’T EXIST - AND TAKING ACTION TO CREATE IT.
MISSNG TILE IS EXPERIENTIAL LUXURY STREETWEAR.
EACH DESIGN IS CRAFTED FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE LESS IS MORE, EMBRACING ART WITH A TWIST. IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT FILLING A SPACE IN YOUR CLOSET - IT’S ABOUT INTRODUCING SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING YOU DIDN’T EVEN KNOW YOU WERE MISSING.
THIS BRAND IS AN EXTENSION OF MIHIR'S OWN STYLE - DYNAMIC, EVER-CHANGING, AND INFLUENCED BY DIFFERENT MOODS, EXPERIENCES, TRAVELS AND CITIES. HE KNEW THERE WERE OTHERS OUT THERE LOOKING FOR THE SAME THING, AND MISSNG TILE BECAME THE ANSWER.
